Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" a capella

It's not really an a capella performance, of course.  These are the vocal tracks isolated from the instrumentals.  Depending on your enthusiasm for the piece, your brain may be able to fill in the silences with the appropriate music.

But the quality of the vocals by themselves is really rather impressive.

  1. ARGH. blocked in my country on copyright grounds. grrrrr. (I like this song and could listen to it all day long!)

    1. Same here! Why do they hate New Zealand :(

  2. I play music almost continuously - the dogs don't usually mind, but for some reason, they really hate Queen. I have been trying to decide if it was Freddie Mercury's vocal range, but after playing this track (more than once) I now know it is Brian May's guitar. No reaction at all, even to the head bops.

    And these guys were geniuses!

  3. That was amazing, very interesting. Thank you.

  4. What a marvelous blending of voices. I'm of the age group that bought the album when it first came out, so this was really fun to hear.

    Thanks for posting this.

  5. Best. Male. Rock. Vocalist. EVER!!!

    RIP, Freddie ~

  6. I still find Freddie Mercury's vocal range impressive
