Lost in translation

Muslims in Germany try to promote their religion by handing out Korans in a campaign named "Read!"

Unfortunately for those whose first language is English, the German word for "read" is "lies" (pronounced "leese").

    1. Ah. I've never seen a Simpsons show. I'm probably the only person in the U.S. with that deficiency.

There's controversy around this as the people who are doing it are subscribing to the Salafist (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salafi) interpretation of Islam. All recent cases of Islamic extremism around Germany had key players who were Salafists. Still, what they are doing is legal in and as of itself and it will hopefully not lead to hate, but to better understanding on all sides.
