Traditional mouse-hunting in China

"A Chinese farmer of Dong ethnic minority group shoulders bundles of mice he hunted with traditional rat-hunting bows in Dudong village, Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, south Chinas Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, 24 November 2009."    Photo Imaginechina.

There are 8 more photos in the set.  The process is described as "bow-hunting," but it involves not a bow-and-arrow-type bow, but rather a type of spring-loaded snare.  The technique has been traditional for several hundred years, as is the disposal method: the mice are eaten.
