"Always on my Mind"

The top embed is the version by Brenda Lee, who originally recorded the song in 1972.  The second is the cover by Elvis Presley.  My favorite performer is Willie Nelson.  I was fortunate to live in Texas during the decade of the 70s, during the classic Waylon and Willie years.

Maybe I didn't treat you
Quite as good as I should have.
Maybe I didn't love you
Quite as often as I should have.
Little things I should have said and done -
I just never took the time.
You were always on my mind...

Maybe I didn't hold you
All those lonely, lonely times.
And I guess I never told you
I'm so happy that you're mine.
If I made you feel second best,
Girl I'm so sorry I was blind.
You were always on my mind...

Tell me, tell me that your sweet love hasn't died.
Give me, give me one more chance to keep you satisfied, satisfied.

Little things I should have said and done -
I just never took the time.
You were always on my mind...
