Big Pharma's latest coup - growing eyelashes

The Food and Drug Administration has given marketing approval to a drug which lengthens, thickens and darkens eyelashes.
The med, called Latisse, should be available by March from a doctor or with a prescription from one. Price tag: $120 for a month’s supply. According to manufacturer Allergan, the drug usually nets results two to four months after users start it. Potential side effects: Some 4 percent of users experience eye itching and redness, and it may also temporarily darken the skin of the eyelid, according to the company.
This will probably decrease the sales of "eyelash extenders" (pictured above), and will allow humans to compete on a more level basis with the famous eyelashes of giraffes.

  1. Thank goodness. I am so glad pharma companies are spending time and money researching a product to grow longer eyelashes. Screw cancer, we need longer eye lashes.
