How does an emu sit down?

I'm glad you asked, because that same question has been keeping me awake at nights. I finally had to go Down Under to find the answer in the above image at Moreton's Myth.

And while we're on the subject, according to the OED "emu" is derived from a Portugese word for crane which was then applied to ostrich-like birds; alternatively it may have been the native word used by inhabitants of Banda and its neighboring islands in Indonesia.
